[mood |stressedstressed]

I am having a crazy week. I have so much to do and all I can seem to do is worry about it. I have this headache that won't go away and I feel like crying almost constantly.
Excuse me while I feel sorry for myself..

I'm looking after my friend's 2 kids tonight if anyone wants to help me! It should be pretty interesting.. I'll have a 3 year old boy, a 16 month old girl and Hannah... haha that should help with the stress.

Oh the silliness! [Oct. 20th, 2005|03:18 pm]
[mood |blahblah]

I can't believe the ridiculous things I see people doing in college classed. I realize that these things may only seem ridiculous to me.. but I'm comfortable with that so I will rant about it anyway!

This afternoon in one of my classes the girl that was sitting beside me left for about 5 minutes and then came back. She sat down and asked me if she missed anything important and I said no. So she procedes to write down everything that was written on the board. Now... normally that would seem strange I guess, except that first of all, the things written on the board were already there when we entered the classroom, and none of it was actual information. There was a chart type drawing with headings on it and some random words that didn't have any real meaning. Now why would someone look at that and think they needed to write it in their notes!? I just don't understand.

I don't get the whole highlighting craze either.. A teacher will give us a note and people will highlight everything on the note minus words like "and" and "the". It's very strange.. I like to highlight things.. like if the teacher says "this will be on the test" or "remember this" so I know what I need to study.. but what is the point of highlighting a whole page of information??

And another thing... why the hell do people feel the need to go on and on about their personal experiences in class!? Once a girl took up 20 minutes of my class time telling the teacher about a doctors appointment her daughter had once. While it was mildly relevant to the course material, I really wasn't learning anything from listening to it and I prefer to spend my class time learning.

Alright I'm done.. but I'll be sure to let you all know if I think of more things that annoy me. :D

ARrrGH! [Oct. 14th, 2005|11:36 pm]
[mood |frustratedfrustrated]

It recently occured to me that the critisisms going on about my breast feeding Hannah go far past what is actually said to my face..
Apparently the world has a problem with extended breast feeding and I just don't fucking understand. I'm tired of getting dirty looks and being told that it's wrong or gross or weird... Are you all that fucking ignorant?!

So here are the facts:

P.S. If you have a problem with my breast feeding, go fuck yourself. I care about the health and well being of my child more than I care about the opinion of ignorant fucks. I don't breast feed Hannah outside of our home so if you don't want to see it then you should get the hell out of my house.

Woo Belleville! [Aug. 7th, 2005|08:38 pm]
Well I'm in Belleville now if anyone is interested.. I'm liking it quite a bit so far. I'm really just happy that I don't have to look at all the idiots from Mount Forest everyday anymore. I have lived in and hated that town for 20 years. I'm so happy to be gone. (I will of course miss Michelle though, and my playgroup and a few of the awesome people from my old apartment... but other than that everyone there sucks!)

It's nice living in a city too.. public transportation is awesome! Hannah even learned a new word since we moved here... "Bus!" lol Everytime she sees a bus now she wants to get on it.
The move has her pretty confused though... she refuses to leave my side and has started freaking out about every little thing. I'm hoping she will get used to things before she has to start daycare. I have a feeling though that she is going to take it pretty badly. I don't think I will handle it very well either.. I don't want to leave my baby. :'(

On a brighter note, my friend Ozzy and his girlfriend Amanda live here too and Hannah has taken quite a liking to them. They are helping me out a lot and it's nice to have company. I was worried that I would be bored and lonely all the time, but so far that hasn't been the case.

Yeah... that's really all I have to say... if anyone wants to visit me feel free! I'll give you my address and phone number upon request! :D

Woo fun! [Jul. 16th, 2005|01:21 am]
1. Think of the first word that comes to mind when you think of me.
2. Go to http://images.google.com and search for that word.
3. Reply to this post with one of the pictures on the first page of results (don't tell me the word).
4. Put this in your own blog so that I can do the same.

The dictionary of Hannah [Jun. 29th, 2005|12:24 am]
[mood |pleasedpleased]

Ada = Uncle Adam

Arooo = What a doggy says

Baaawl = Ball

Baby = Any child really... of any age.. Any short person I guess.

Bah Bah = What a sheep says

Boob = Yeah, that means boob. She likes to yell this word in public places while grabbing at my chest.

Bydee = Birdie

Bum Bum = Usually means diaper but occasionally she uses this to refer to someone elses bum

Bye-bye - that one is pretty straight forward..

Dies = Dog or any other furry animal with 4 legs.

Done = Usually means she's done eating, or done her bath or she'll yell "done!!" at me if she just wants me to stop what I'm doing.

Doowa = Dora, as in Dora the Explorer. Everytime she gets near the computer she wants to play the stupid Dora game!

Doota = Don't touch. When she comes across something she isn't supposed to touch she points at it and reminds everyone that they shouldn't touch it.

Eyes = Eyes or glasses. She likes to poke people in the eyes just incase they didn't know they had them or something.. This was one of her first words.

Hankooo = Is an attempt at 'thankyou' but she says it when she is giving people things rather than the oposite.

Hi = Her general greeting.

Hewo = She only uses this when she answers the phone, or when she's pretending to answer the phone.

Ice = Yes. If you ask her a question and she agrees she will answer 'ice' and nod her head.

Iyshababa = I have no idea what this means, but she says it all the time!

Joooose = Juice, or milk or water or any liquid that she drinks out of a cup.

Mama = That's me!

Ma! = She repeats this over and over again when she wants something.

Mine = Anything you have that she wants.

Moo = What a cow says

Nonono = Basically means 'don't do that' or 'I don't want to do that'

OOoh = She says this when you ask her a question and the answers is no. And she shakes her head while she says it.

Ow = Ouch. She says this when anything is happening to her that she doesn't like. Having her diaper changed usually or when I try to take her in a pool of any kind.

Papa = Grandpa.

Peese = Please. Usually said in a whiney voice.

Rama = Grandma

Ta ta = Give me that.

The standard for a child Hannahs age is 5 words and she already says all of these!! Is my baby brilliant or what? I'm sure there are some that I have forgotten too.
Pardon my bragging, but I'm a proud mommy! :)
Oooh and she tries to count now too! If I give her several objects she'll point at them and say "Two Three, two three" lol

[mood |accomplishedaccomplished]

Today has been really interesting. Mom and I went to Belleville last night and stayed over so we could look at apartments today. I had 4 apartments to look at and I called them all last night and randomly chose an order to go see them.
Anyway.. the first apartment I looked at was terrible, I hated it. The second was alright but it didn't have laundry and it was on this really busy street and there was no yard for Hannah to play in. The third was really nice, I liked it and had almost decided it was the one I wanted... but then there was the fourth. It was absolutely perfect! It's a small building on a quiet street, there is a grocery store just down the street and a bus stop just around the corner. Not to mention the apartment itself... it's huge and well kept and there is a little yard out front that Hannah could play in! The landlord was really nice too and since I live so far away she decided she would just let me have the place! I put down a deposit and it's mine! Woo!
I thought it was really strange though.. the way things went in order like that.. and the place that I ended up getting was a place that I wasn't going to call in the first place but on Friday my dad told me I should try everything I could find. So I called about an ad in the paper for a 1 bedroom apartment that sounded big enough and the woman told me about a 2 bedroom she happened to have.
It's things like that that make me think there might actually be some order to the universe. Like maybe things really do happen for a reason. That's kindof a nice thought.

I want to shave my head!! I'm absolutely convinced that it would look terrible but having hair is waay too much of a hassle. It's hot and it requires too much maintenance. I don't care if I look like a penis with ears, I don't like hair!
Someone convince me!

Anyway... Hopes of finding an apartment in Belleville are slowly dissolving. I have been turned down for so many different reasons now it seems like I will never find a place.
Some places don't want me because I'm a student, some because I have a child, some because I am on welfare and one woman actually said to me "is the childs father involved?" and when told no she seemed almost discusted and very uninterested in renting to me.
I'm so irritated with people right now it's not even funny... What is someone like me to do!? What if I never find a place to live? Am I just supposed to give up going to school because no one wants to rent to me!?

ARRrrgghh! I have been so stressed out for the past few weeks it's not even funny! Can someone please find me a nice deep hole to crawl into.

Can't sleep... bugs will eat me! [Jun. 10th, 2005|02:09 am]
[mood |exhaustedexhausted]

I'm so very tired. Hannah is getting all 4 incisors(sp) all at the same time and she is right out of sorts. She has been staying up really late and sleeping in until like 11. Not to mention the crappyness... man she can get cranky with the best of them!

Anyway... I got her to sleep around 12:30 tonight and was sooo looking forward to being able to relax for a while, when I noticed that my mother had accidentally popped the screen on one of my windows open and it had been like that all evening. There were like a million bugs in my kitchen including a giant scary looking thing that was flying all over the place scaring me..

So I propped the door open and turned off all the lights hoping that the bugs would gravitate towards the light in the hall... I'm not sure how well it worked though so I'm afraid to go to sleep now. :(

On a brighter note, I think I may have found a place to live in Belleville! I haven't seen it yet, but they seem very willing to rent to me and a trusted friend of my mothers assured us that it is suitable. I'm so excited about moving! I can't wait to get out of this place. I have been wanting to leave Mount Forest for as long as I can remember and now I'm finally doing it! Hooray!
